Fifth-generation Arizonan Syleste Rodriguez can be seen daily on Fox 10 as a morning news anchor. The quintessential hometown girl, Syleste’s family was one of the first five families to settle in the city of Tempe and is listed in the Tempe Historical Museum.
A graduate of Marcos de Niza High School and ASU’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, she also holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy. The daughter of a single mother who worked two jobs, Syleste knows the value of hard work, education and giving back to the community. In addition to teaching at the Cronkite School, she volunteers with St. Vincent de Paul, the Salvation Army, the Child Crisis Center, Colleen’s Dream for ovarian cancer research, and City of Hope for breast cancer research. A devoted Christian and mommy of three, Syleste enjoys cooking, date nights with her husband and running a taxi service for her children.
